Shopping cart not working in Firefox

Postby belle9898 » Fri Aug 31, 2012 4:02 pm

I have had NOPCART since '99 with no issues concerning browsers until now.

Cart is completely functional in all browsers except the latest Firefox. Everything comes through except what the person ordered.

Anyone else have this issue or a fix?

Thanks,
Trudi

Yes, I had an issue in FireFox too.

In managecart.html I am using an include now:

Code: Select all
<form action="checkout.php" name="form" method="get" onsubmit="return ValidateCart(this)">
<script type="text/javascript" src="managecart.js"></script>
...
</form>

managecart.js has just one line of code:

Code: Select all
ManageCart();

I have posted absolutely no changes since 2005 when I added google shopping.
I am going to test what you wrote and see what happens.

Yes,
I have the include on my managecart.html:
<FORM ACTION="managecartchoice.html" NAME="form" METHOD="GET" onsubmit="return ValidateCart(this)">
</table>
<table>
<center>
<script>
ManageCart();
</script>
</center>
</table>

I have just tested it again, If I use Internet Explorer, all the information comes across. The customer gets an email showing his address and what he ordered. If the customer uses Firefox, the customer gets an email showing his address, but not what he ordered.

July 11 of this year is when this started. At first, when I got the order with nothing in it, the customer said she used an iPad. So I tested it and it looks like when an iPad is used, if you go to fast, the item ordered doesn't come through. Figured it was a fluke.

I had two more such ordered, and just figured they used an iPad.

Since August 18th, all orders using Firefox just stopped having the customer information (I go back and ask the customers what browser, etc, they are using).

Any ideas?
Thanks

Nope. You have a rather complicated setup and another domain for the checkout. I would have to take a look at all the files and scripts involved.

If it doesn't work with an iPad, it probably doesn't work in Google Chrome either. The iPad has a Webkit browser, and Chrome is also based on Webkit.

Hi John,

It does work on iPad, they just have to wait for the whole page to load before they click next. Other than that, it is fine.

This is just frustrating, really don't want to put on checkout 'not for use with Firefox browswer'.

Thanks,
Trudi
