Values in cart do not pass to checkout page

I've looked for the answer to this apparently simple problem, but I didn't find it.
The values in my cart on the managecart.html page do not pass to checkout.html when I click on Check out now. Nothing happens, no errors, nothing. What value or values actually pass this along or is it the checkout.pl file that I placed in the CGI directory on my server that does it?
Please help. I seem to be stumbling along with all this since I have little knowlege of Scripts and Perl.

A URL would help. There are so many things that can cause the problem you describe, that it is not quite possible for us to tell you what it could be.

Thanks for a quick reply. However, I was able to solve this one myself (stroke of luck I guess).
What happened is that Front Page 2002 put in a </Form> before the ManageCart function could work. Even thought I have Front Page set to leave the HTML as written, it continued to put the </form> in in the wrong place.
I solved this problem by putting the form code and the function code and all the other code that needed to be in the form on the same line. This stopped Front Page from putting the </form> within a line.
Now it works, so now I have to move on to checkout and work on the confirmation and thank you pages. Hopefully the cgi will work without too much troble.
