Help a poor soul

Postby axiom82 » Thu Feb 06, 2003 10:54 pm

Im using a <button> tag with an onclick that defines window.location as a link to the managecart page. It loads the page but when you click the remove button it doesnt reload the page. I have to reload it manually. How can I overcome this? This the site...

(1)Make your way to any page that has a product for sale and add it to your cart. Then,
(2)hit the back button, you will see a borderless button at the top right of the page with text that reads 'view shopping cart'.
(3)Click the remove item button. The page doesn't reload but does remove the item. Any solutions?

Just tried, ordered Angela (CHK-AGLA), removed it, and your page reloaded the cart. Works like a dream here (IE6)

after ordering, the problem happens when you 'continue shopping' and then try to load the managecart page from a button on any of the product pages in the top-right corner. The button says 'view shopping cart'.

Only from the button link I can't remove items :(
Are you still able to remove them dynamically?

Sorry, been quite busy...

I noticed you are using an inline frame "<iframe>" to display the dynamic contents of your page. First I would like to suggest you use <div> instead of iFrame because of compability issues with iFrame.
I reckon the cart loads incorrectly because of the iFrame tag. There must be a refresh issue with nested frames (in combination with a js call).
Since I never use iFrame I cannot give you any further information. please point your browser to http://www.w3c.org and search for iframe refresh issues with js calls.
I recommend that you test using the <div> tag as well, perhaps that solves the problem immediatly.

Hope this helps,

Steven
