Discount Prices for Bulk Orders

Postby ledsdirect » Thu Feb 20, 2003 8:18 pm

I'm selling LEDS. One LED sales for $2.00
If someone buys more than 10 LEDS, they are $1.50 each.
If someone buys more than 100 LEDS, they are $1.00 each.

How can I modify the code to reflect this pricing structure?? Do I change the code in the "PHP File" or do I change the code on the page containing the "Add to Cart" Button??

What codes do I change and where can they be found?? PLEASE SHOW EXAPMLES OF THE ENTIRE CODE SO I CAN COPY AND PASTE.

:D Thank you for the great cart and for saving me about $300.00 or more! :D

Have a look at the custom shipping mod in the Modifications forum. With a little bit of tweaking you can alter the shipping mod to fit your needs re quantity discounts.

Let me know if you require any further help.

bit more help

Postby sparkiii » Sat Feb 22, 2003 2:11 am

Firstly I would like to say, I havent come across help like this with any program, thankyou so much. Secondly, I have adjusted the custom shipping script to try and use it for the bulk product reason, I want to use it for individual items, not for the total amount ordered, will this work and just where should I squeeze it in.

Thanks in advance.

Well, It could be done but it requires quite a bit of coding. I know there are scripts out (try http://www.hotscripts.com) there for caculating prices based on a bulk matrix.
Have you searched this forum for similar issues? Perhaps someone else has already coded a solution.
