Basic stuff, can't get to first base.

Postby turkey_25 » Fri Jun 20, 2003 3:09 am

I have been building websites for about 7 years, mostly freebie stuff. Have my first paying customer that needs a shopping cart. I can't get the manage cart to draw the grid. I have read the instructions until I don't want to look at them any more..... I am begining to believe my problem lies with the js files. I have read the instructions over specifically looking for what you are supposed to do with them (other than the product page, manage cart and checkout pages.) Is a file containing those scripts supposed to be your HTML folder? If so, in what form? HTML, or text files, and what are they supposed to be named? Or are they supposed to be added to your HTML pages somewhere. I'm sure I must be overlooking it but I don't see that the instructions addesses this.

I am quite familiar with HTML, but I know nothing about CSS, and I see that all of those showing off their sites that I looked at use it. Is it absolutely necessary to make the cart work?

Looking at some of the sites that other people want to show off I notice features that I would really like to incororate in this website. But I have got to get it working in basic mode before I can modify it.... Please help.

The best way to "learn" NOPcart is too examine the demo site -or- even better use it as a starting point for your own site.

tax code

Postby HTML Kay » Sat Jul 19, 2003 4:09 pm

ok, this code "has" that Arizona state in it, I live in Texas, but I want to take this thing 'out' of there for now 'completely' because vitamins are "not" taxable.

Can I take it 'out' of there(the tax option) and then add it later to 'single' items on the button form codes (to items that need to be taxed 'only') ?

thanks,
:D
